Digital Security

Defenders Protection initiative seeks to reinforce the resilience of HRDs against digital/cyberattacks by conducting digital security health assessments that enable DPI to develop contextualized and practical, hands-on solutions aimed at equipping HRDs with more secure practices and tools.

On the other hand, this digital age has ushered in some previously unknown problems and vulnerabilities. The abundance of digitally stored information and the ability to disseminate it instantly has created a huge challenge to entities that are trying to manipulate, monitor and restrict electronic information especially for activists and activism organisations.

since conception, DPI has delivered support to more than 3000 HRDs in Uganda, offering them digital security training based on their needs assessments, and risk profiles with appropriate tools to help them mitigate any eminent attacks
